Dade Trailer Rescue And Repairs
Coupler & Jack Repair IN Miami-Dade

Couplers, Jacks & Winches

The hardware that connects your trailer to your truck and your boat to your trailer. We replace faulty couplers, seized tongue jacks, worn winches and straps, bow stops, and safety chains, usually in a single visit.

What Is couplers, jacks & winches?

This is the tongue-end hardware: the coupler that latches onto your hitch ball, the jack that lifts the tongue, the winch and strap that pull the boat onto the trailer, the bow stop it snugs against, and the safety chains that catch everything if the coupler lets go. We replace and upgrade all of it, matching coupler size to your ball and capacity, and we can add a bow stop or move a winch post to fit a different boat.

Why Is couplers, jacks & winches Important?

A coupler is a two-dollar latch mechanism holding thousands of pounds to your truck. When one wears loose or the latch rusts stiff, the trailer can pop off the ball, and the only thing between that and disaster is a pair of safety chains that are often rusted worse than the coupler. Jacks and winches are more about your back and your boat: a seized jack makes every hitch-up a fight, and a worn winch strap that snaps mid-retrieve drops the boat where it pleases.

When Should You Consider couplers, jacks & winches?

Replace the coupler if it won't latch smoothly, has visible play on the ball, or the locking mechanism is rusted. Do the jack when it grinds, wobbles, or won't hold. Winch straps are cheap; replace them at the first sign of fraying instead of splicing. And check safety chains for rusted links and stretched hooks once a season; they're the part everyone forgets until they're needed.

Had a blowout on the highway that damaged three of my four hubs. Found Dade Trailer Rescue online. Super responsive and got to me quickly.

Came out at night when we broke down on the stretch to the Keys and saved my family trip. Highly recommended.

Stranded on the side of the road on a Saturday. They were there in 30 minutes and replaced a complete hub in about 20. Price was fair.
