The cheapest repair is the one you never need. We go through the whole trailer at your place (bearings, brakes, springs, tires, lights, coupler), tell you honestly what needs work now and what can wait, and fix what you approve.
A full inspection is a systematic pass over every wear point on the trailer: bearings checked for play and heat, brakes tested, springs and shackles inspected for rust and cracks, tires checked for age and wear pattern, lights and wiring tested, coupler and safety chains examined, bunks and rollers looked over on boat trailers, and the frame checked for rot and cracked welds. You get a straight list: what's urgent, what's coming, and what's fine.
Almost every roadside rescue we run traces back to something an inspection would have caught weeks earlier: the bearing that had been growling, the spring rusted between the leaves, the six-year-old tires. Trailers don't get the routine attention cars do; there's no oil change forcing them into a shop, so problems accumulate silently until one of them picks a highway to surface on. An annual once-over resets that clock for a fraction of what one emergency call costs.
Once a year for any trailer, and before any big trip: the first Keys run of the season, a long haul out of state, or towing a new-to-you boat home. Buying a used trailer or boat-and-trailer package is the other big one; a pre-purchase look costs little and has saved our customers from trailers that were rust holding hands with paint.
