Suspension work on a trailer means the leaf springs, the shackles and equalizers that link them, the hangers welded to the frame, and the U-bolts clamping it all to the axle. We replace broken and rust-thinned springs, worn shackle bolts and bushings, and seized equalizers, matching spring capacity and length to the trailer so it sits level and carries its rated load. We handle single and tandem setups on boat, utility, and dump trailers.
Springs carry the load and take the abuse of every pothole, and in salt air they rust from between the leaves where you can't see it. When one lets go the axle shifts, the tire chews into the frame or fender, and the trailer becomes untowable on the spot. Worn shackles and equalizers are sneakier: they let the axles wander, wear tires unevenly, and load one spring harder than the other until it fails. Suspension parts are cheap; the failures they cause aren't.
Look at your springs twice a year. Rust flakes between leaves, a trailer that sags on one side or noses down on one axle, clunks over bumps, or shackle bolts worn visibly thin all mean it's time. If a spring has already snapped, don't tow it; call and we'll come to the trailer with the right replacement.
